"Mommy's Birthday" and "Three Months" (a week ago)

Ahhh, finally asleep!

Mommy is 25 Years old
I just can not help but post a little about my Birthay on Wed. It was such a funny day! It all started out normal. Andrew and I got up way early to clean the house. It was Andrew's mom's first time seeing our house and I wanted to get the last few boxes unpacked... Oh but at this time the toilet clogged. Not just a little clog but a big clog. But continuing on... Andrew's Mom came up from Salt Lake gave us our mail ( 11 bills whoooeeee) and took us out to lunch at Red Lobster (I know that that is unneeded information but I figure I might as well be thorough) and we all headed over to Cosco for a birthday outing. This is my present! Do you like it? It is a filing box. For me to help keep all of our documents and medical bills straight. Isn't it funny the things we want when we get older and are on a budget. But after we came home I fed the baby and Andrew disappeared. After about a half hour I call for Andrew and there is no answer. Then I spill all the milk and yell for Andrew to bring me a towel. He immerges into the kitchen all wet... Why is my husband wet I wondered? And why didn't he bring me a towel? The answer... there were no dry towel (including my show towels I had hung up that morning) I go into the bathroom and there is over an inch of water covering the floor. Not only did we have to use my show towels and every other towel in the house but also 5 blankets to stop the water from entering the bedroom. This ended up being humorous once we stopped the monsterous tide cascading from the toilet. But by far the best part of the story is when we by accident hit the porcelain lid that is set on the back of the toilet. It falls........ directly onto our tile floor and...... shatters. Yep, we call our land Lord and he tell us he will come pick the pieces up today. We got the bathroom dry the glass picked up and headed out for the last outing of the day. The County Health Building. Luke was getting immunized. And for those of you who have taken your child to have this done you know exactly what I mean when I didn't get much sleep that night. He was so unhappy with me. Thus the picture on the right. But he is doing well and is know immunized from things like the rodovirus (no idea)! But it was definitely a birthday I will not forget.

(Before I continue with this Blog I must preface it. We do not have the internet however on occasion we will pick it up from some one nearby. On the 22nd I spent almost two hours doing a special post (catching up on everything, and Luke was 3 months old that day) This post had five little sections,13 pictures and two movies . Each would have been individual posts but I put them all together because of the unpredictability of the internet. However the internet did not come on again that night and when I woke up in the morning I found our computer had shut down and the saved version was no where to be found! All that was left was that last movie that we posted. I was sad, and that is why it has taken me a week or so to reconstruct that post. But the real kicker is when I redrafted it, I was preparing to post and it deleted all of the text in the post.......there was slight frustrationis assosiation with this post. But it s OK… Life is still wonderful. Here in not quite as much detail is that same recreated post.)

I am Three Months Today!!!!

On February 22, Luke turned 3 months. Yea he is so so big. Almost 13 pounds and a little over 24 inches long. He is doing great laughing and havin a grand old time. Life here in Provo is going well. Andrew got a job serving at Red Robin and I have taken on the puzzling task of decorating and organizing our little one bedroom house. Now you might say " I have never seen a one bedroom house." Well I hadn't either untill the day we moved in. Its crazy the last 3 places I have lived , I have not been able to see what it looks like until the day we move in. But this is our little house isn't it cute! It is really just that big, I mean I got all of the house in that picture. The living room is the window on the left and th e kitchen is the window on the right. the bedroom is behind the kitchen and the little bathroom right next to that. It was built in the early 1940s and my landlord and his wife moved in 30 days after they weere married and have owned the house ever since. It is very cozy and has som fun quirks. Like the fact the washer is in the kitchen between the sink and the oven. And the dryer is in the hall next to the bedroom.

We really enjoy it! We have been here for a little over 3 weeks and we are starting to get things in order :-) I was really worried about hoe Luke would do witht the weather change but he has done great. He has had a little cough but that has been it. But we bundle him up pretty tight before we go out anywhere. Here he is in his carseat. This is one of my favorite little outfits of his, my aunt debbie gave it to me. I love the ears, they make me laugh!

Our First Time to Church as a Family

Last Sunday (or technically two Sundays ago now) Or whole family was able to go to church together for the first time since Luke was born. I was so excited. We had been staying home because the doctors were worried abou Luke getting sick with RSV, there has been a lot of it going around. We are going to a student ward because we figured that this will probably be the last time we will have an opportunity to do so. It is a different student ward than any we have ever been in. It is in a more residential part of Provo so it has a lot of older student couples. And the largest nursery I have ever seen in my life. I would say 9 out of 10 couples have a baby and there are quite a few that have more than one. Well we should fit right in.
This is a picture of Luke and I after Church.
He looked so grown up in his little church outfit. He was stylin!

Lukes' Blessing
On February 2, Luke was blessed in Andrew's home ward. We choose the perfect day for it to take place! On the biggest snow storm of the year. It was sad, the snow prevented man of our friends and family from attending but it was still a wonderful day. But still my Grandma and cousin from Sunset and my immediate familycame. As well as Andrews' parent, sister and brother-in-law.

My mom picked out Lukes blessing outfit and he looked so incredibally studdly in his little white tux. Oh, I think he is so so cute.

First Portrait Session

My cousin Brook is a wonderful photographer. And when we first moved here in January she took some pictures of Luke! They turned out so incredibally cute I just had to post them. He is about 5 weeks old in these pictures. Oh by the way, his shoes in this picture are my very favorite baby shoes ever!
