Food, Chair and well, discomfort

Now this chair might look simply like packing materials nailed together, and yes literally thats almost what it is. But this chair was brought over by our early education worker to help Luke with sitting up. This was on one of the first days we tried it out. He liked it the first day and after her realized the work behind sitting in it he has greatly disliked it ever since. But here he is giving us one of his great smiles that we love.

and playing with the red bobble man. His goal in life is to stick the entire top in his mouth...

Luke is doing so great. And by the way look at his hair!!!! Way to grow it Luke! And don't be decieved by the hairs' transparent color its thick and well I promise its there! We think he has low muscle tone in his shoulders and arms and that is why he has not been as proactice but we work on it everyday and he is improving in bounds, he's started sitting better by himself and is getting stronger daily. Tummy time is getting harder and harder now that he can turn at will. If I don't physically keep him on his tummy he will not stay there. But we try little steps. Sometimes if he is in a good mood I can actually get him to play there for two or three minutes. However good moods have been few and far between the last few days.
We started him on rice cereal (which he loves). But it also makes him terribley constipated. So for the first little bit we gave him watered prune juice to help him pass it. (oh man does he like juice) But alas it has not helped the last two days. NO POOPS. Sorry to be vulgar on a public blog but its the truth :-) and with this has come a very uncomfortable day, for both of us. And with daddy at work it means soonest we can get more medicine is midnight... So we are in for lots of cuddles tonight and hopefully he will be able to feel better in the next few hours. And through it all he still wants cereal. He does this cute chewing motion when he wants it. But we are definately taking a little break to get regular again. Did I mention its raining? I am dying to go on our walk but no such luck I am hoping it cleas up for this evening. It is a sure fire way to put him to sleep and after his declaration of constipation I have experience today I am ready and eagerly awaiting nap time.

Sorry the lighting is so bad, we tried to fix it but I thought I would put it up anyway.

Oh I thught I would tag a couple of pictures on the end ahhh just so stinkin cute!

Max just saw the picture on the top of your blog and wants to know "Why are they afraid to married?" "Are they hiding from people?" Luke is getting so big. Wish we could see him. Love you!

Uncle Lynn would say, "feed Luke mashed potatoes instead of rice", that should clear up the constipation. :) Straight from an Idaho now Chicago transplant. :)

Luke, you are a star! I love seeing your little face, hearing your sounds, and watching your physical movements. ** you have great parents helping you out and loving you deeply! **

We'd love to see a family picture posted one day.

I love the cute little eyebrow raise he does in the video. Cute little guy. I've added your blog as a link on mine (thethornocks.blogspot.com). =)
