This week has been a little difficult on my boys. Its been getting colder, daddy has been gone, and I have been super busy with things. Not to mention the fact that Luke was absolutely stir crazy. Sooo we decided to have a play day.
Game #1 "We all fall down.."
Many people might call this game "Ring Around the Rosies". But to Luke the object of this game is to run around until you hear the words "we all fall down". Then he drops to the floor and laughs hysterically. He LOVES it. I know its a blurry picture but I just love how happy his face is.Clark during "we all fall down"Game #2 Run Up and Down the Hill
This game is played exactly like that. You run down the hill yelling then walk up slowly. I think it might be his favorite feature of our back yard. Clark and I got a little bored during this game and started one of our own. After we played in the back yard for a bit it was time for Kristen to come over and Luke to have a little SI Jello Therapy. He wouldn't touch it at first but warmed up to it better than I could have ever hoped. Clark and me showing off our cuteness
Last week Andrew and I celebrated our four year Anniversary! I love him! We had so much fun that day! I wish I had some pictures to show from our anniversary this year but we were'nt able to do much on the actual day.
Which makes me think... there has been an incredible lack of Andrew-ness on our blog. So I think I will tell you where the tallest member in our family has been. The answer: not at home.
NinjaBee
As you know Andrew works for a video game company named NinjaBee and he loves his job! They are releasing a new game this year called A World of Keflings. And this is the trailer Cute husband Andrew made. (the end is my favorite)
But Andrew gets off around 6 and heads home for about 10 minutes before heading to
his second "job".
The Scarlet Pimpernel
Andrew is an incredible singer and dancer and this spring he asked me how I would feel if he auditioned for a show. We knew from the beginning it would be a little hard on my heart to stay home each night with the kids while he went and did what I love, what I went to school for. But we decided it was the right time for him to try such a venture and The Scarlet Pimpernel at The Hale Center Theater seemed like a perfect fit. The rehearsals started in August and were anywhere from 3-6 times a week. The show runs from October 14 through November 27. He has a show every night and anywhere from 2-3 shows on Saturday. Yea, its a huge commitment. But its an amazing theater and a phenomenal show. I have to admit it has been a little difficult on my heart, but not nearly as hard as I anticipated. I feel lucky to live vicariously through him amid the post baby business. Each night he comes home, I make him evaluate his performance and the true drama teacher in me comes out. He has a small part which has been such a great thing for our schedules. He was able to be home with me more when the baby was little and hasn't had to put much time into the show outside of rehearsals. Downside: his hair. He can't cut it so his little wiglet will blend, and it is getting out of control. (He has a lot of hair.) I am so proud of him, he is so talented. Did you know he is a 2 time DanceSport Champion? Yep, that's my husband. Did you know he toured South Africa with the BYU Singers? Yep he's amazing! And did you know at Disney he was recognized almost everyday for his standout performances. He was! He won't tell you and he will be embarrassed that I told you. But I will! He is also just about the most humble guy you will ever meet.
And what do we do at Home while Cute Husband Andrew is away? Clean, play with Kimmy and Kevin, go to appointments, and play.
P.S.Yesterday while I was looking online for a Disney picture to hang in Luke and Clark's room, I found a picture of "my friend" Snow White working a Disney World. It has been a couple years since I stumbled upon myself in someone else's photo album. It made me happy!
